As I took a little trip to the North East Coast line on a beautiful February evening it felt like a nice glimpse at what my upcoming trip to Barcelona would be like. Sunshine and beaches but hopefully a bit warmer.

If you’d told me I’d be walking around in a t-shirt and still sweating two days later I’d have told you to pee off you nutter, but there you have it, not only was I walking around in a t-shirt but there were actual people sunbathing on the Barcelona beach.
Let’s not kid around though, even those people were being a little optimistic with it being 19 degrees or 20 at most.

I’d only been to Barcelona once before and that was also a winter sunshine break. Somehow I’d absent mindedly forgot how relaxing it is to walk around amongst the palm trees. I think trees somehow conjure up a great vibe anyway but palm trees especially make you feel peaceful. Or maybe not. Maybe I’m weird. One can never know for sure I suppose.

My apartment was an absolute bargain and there is a link to the Airbnb in the description of the accompanying video. It’s very central and the best value for money I could find.

I’ll not ramble on about the KFC challenge I’ve been doing as I feel I’ve went on about that enough already. Needless to say I was relieved it finally ended during my stay in Barcelona and I can now eat healthier or even unhealthier food again. I took full advantage of this by devouring 10,000 calories in the airport lounges during my trip back to Uk. Oink oink.
