Missing a my flight to Warsaw from Prague was an extremely unusual occurance for me. I think I’ve only ever missed one other flight in my life. To say I was annoyed was an understatement but meh! Shit happens!

I got on my phone and found alternative means of transport. The night train seemed to be my only option, and while it wasn’t the ideal mode of transport it would have to do. So I started to view it more as a little adventure. I’d only took a night train once before, to Budapest, which I was assuming would be much the same.

And it was! Except for the noisy party people in the next cubicle. Add to this it got pretty cold at certain times of the night it made it it difficult to sleep. The gaps between the seats didn’t help either.

When we finally did arrive in the Polish capital it was a winter wonderland. The train wasn’t really so bad. If you can handle a few less hours sleep you’ll do ok. Just remember your ear plugs and an eye mask.
