Explore Prague’s new town … (5th October 2021)

With me living in both Prague and UK I’m already pretty familiar with Prague’s central area but it’s funny how when you show someone else around you start to notice things you’d never spotted before. Random beautiful fountains and wall murals that were previously invisible it seemed.

Chris is a Frenchman from Paris. He has that wonderful accent that I imagine makes girls tingle in places they’ll never admit. He also only has the use of one arm and, sadly, I’m partially to blame. I encouraged him to get around Prague on an electric scooter. Of course, it didn’t take long until he went flying off the thing. Inevitable really. I’d not warned him to hold on tighter when going over some of the cobbled streets. His arm will heal but his trip to Prague was severely tainted. That didn’t stop him thoroughly enjoying the sights though, of which there are plenty to see, the dancing house, Wencelass Square, and of course the beautiful Musuem. I took him around them all and he smiled with delight. At one point some other friends joined. Prague really is a great place to meander the streets on an early autumn day with friends. I’ll not harp on about it to much but the weather over in Prague doesn’t get colder until late October. This makes every summer an Indian summer in comparison to the UK. Even on a cooler day there’s rarely any wind in the Czech capital so it still feels warm. The bottomline is that September and October are really great months to visit Prague.
