Eat the best value Asian food in Prague … (20th November 2021)

As I’ve mentioned before I’m not much of a fan of restaurants in general. I prefer to eat at home and from what I recall my Grandfather was the same. I always remember him saying he hadn’t been to a restaurant in about 50 years. He was proud of the fact. He was 95 at the time.

My distaste isn’t that extreme though. I don’t mind it so much if it’s for a special occasion or exceedingly good value, it’s just not an experience I value over, say, being in nature, or the cinema. Well my friend Andrej in Prague introduced me to a great value place, so good that I just had to share it. So if you do happen to find yourself hungry and meandering the streets of the Czech capital I highly recommend you go check out this place.
It’s one of those restaurants that do the all you can eat thing. I always expect to see obese people at those places but that seems to be pretty rare. In fact if anything it’s quite the opposite.

The restaurant is in an area of the city called Andel, which translates to Angel, I have no idea why its named this but it’s a bustling transport intersection that has a mall and lots of other restaurants and bars all dotted around. With it being a 15 minute walk from the centre it’s lesser expensive than the tourist areas. The buffet lunch we paid for was 179ck which comes to around £6 or $4. There is lots to choose from and you can fill you’re own drink up which included too, the two liquid juice options are more tasty than any of the fizzy soft drinks out there but I believe you can buy Pepsi or fanta at the bar too if you would prefer it.

One thing I will remind everybody is that if you go to this buffet restaurant, or any Chinese buffet restaurant for that matter, try not to load up on the sweet and sour chicken. I have no idea what they put in that tasty dough it’s covered in but it fills you up like an inflated tyre, you’ll barely be able to fit in the sushi and sticky pork, which would be a big shame since they also taste so good.
